Cathie has been closely involved with the growth in our public sector work in the local government, health and education sectors. She provides internal and external audit and ad hoc services to the public sector, with particular emphasis on governance and performance audit.
Cathie has been involved with several performance audit pilots with Audit Scotland, helping to develop national studies in both local government and health clients. She has also gained significant experience of Best Value audit in local government
Cathie has 29 years general audit experience, the last 23 of these specialising in local government, health and the educations sectors. Governance and performance audit are areas where she has developed and carried out numerous audit projects, for individual clients or as part of a wider team involving Audit Scotland, other inspection agencies, or auditors of other organisations.
